Los Angeles Town Hall again...

That day I went to interview to some people about the upcoming mayor elections. What better place you could think of than around the town hall, I thought.

Getting on the scene there it became evident that no diversity would be found around the town hall, just two groups of extreme viewpoints.

Well, I decided to move on to UCLA, to check some of the younger generation.

From a non-US perspective even window shopping can become something absurd.

From "Wedding" to "Divorce" in five steps...

I read recently that there is more marriages than divorces still but the trend would go the other way. Sad, especially because it is so eas to save a marriage which has gone astray. It is in the Scientology Handbook or can be fixed in each and any Church of Scientology all around the world.

Must be one of the reasons that people living off other people's problems do not necessarily like the Scientologists.

I know it's sad but I love L.A.

It's even sadder that I'm here to stay

I might vacation on an isle away

But this is where I'll spend my dying day

So now it's time for me get me a wife

And live in town with her for all of my life

I'll understand when my hair turns grey

Why I

I live

In L.A.

Normally I am not a Los Angeles Times reader. I mean, look at their ugly main building Downtown and ask yourself what news they might produce in there.

BUT - since they feature a good photo and caption of David Miscavige recently, I will let that slide....

Tom Cruise Photoshoot!

Seeing the great pictures of Suri, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, I remembered having met this famous Scientologist once in 2004.

Well, "met" seems to be a bit exagerrated let's say "photographed while waving" to some hundred fans, mostly pupils who had "taken off" their morning from school.

For those familiar with Cruise's schedule: This was not in Los Angeles but in the cold BERLIN, the German Capitol.

This is the town hall of Los Angeles (with an angel right behind it...).

Some time ago I saw a Human Rights Group performing in front of that hall. Might have been a Scientology group.

I wish I had my camera on me for that but...well sometimes you got to stop thinking about your job.

Landing in Los Angeles - the "City of Angels".

Here you find all kinds of things, Hollywood with its stars, bums and kodak theatre ("Oscar" event place), Griffith Park, a green hill untouched by industry in the middle of Los Angeles, Downtown with its sky scrapers, 50 miles of beach, Armenian, Korean, Chinese, Mexican quarters and last but not least: food in all fashions and tastes.

Living in Hollywood means one more thing: becoming acquainted with the Church of Scientology. Here Scientologists are everywhere and that is a good thing. They keep the area clean and contributed a lot to get the crime rate down considerably. And they have great events.

What else, in Hollywood, Los Angeles? Share your thoughts and pics with me! - Verge
